He was intent on laying down the highest HP on stock turbos and actually beat my personal standing record of 411RWHP, by 1HP. The irony of the situation was that the engine wasn't damaged during the dyno tuning, but rather, on the trip back from the dyno to Z1's old shop Kyle ran the car at 100% boost duty and blew the ring lands off a piston on that trip - a boost setting that was directly against my recommendation. One would have to actually be there for a tuning session to really know my tuning practices - keep in mind when judging that not only are thousands of dollars of equipment at stake, but also my reputation as a tuner is on the line in these events. I'm far more conservative than this forum gives me credit for - not to mention (and not meant as an attack), there's only about two other people on this forum that know jack about the limits of the VG. You want to pose a judgement on my tuning practice? Feel free to elaborate on where you think the line lay between conservative and aggressive - I'm all ears. :)
